Blog Tour for Azure by Chrystalla Thoma + Giveaway!

A terrible mistake haunts college student Olivia Spencer. To escape the past, she travels to the Mediterranean island of Crete, hoping for the courage to start anew.

By the sea, she meets sexy and enigmatic Kai. But there’s more to Kai than meets the eye — and nobody wants to talk about it. The locals shun him, accusing him of magic. Kai, apparently, belongs to the sea, no matter how crazy that sounds.

Kai isn’t free to be with her or live his own life, and this is how he will stay, unless Olivia can break his curse and save him — in doing so atoning for those she failed in the past.

The first thing I noticed about this novel was the front cover, it is really pretty and the picture really fits in well with the storyline. I hadn't read many new adult novels, so when I started reading Azure I was drawn in by Olivia from the first page.

Azure is set in Crete, a Greek island that has blue sky and water to make it the perfect holiday destination. That is why Olivia choose it as a holiday but it soon became a getaway from her life back home. Having planned to go with her boyfriend Justin or ex-boyfriend now, though after a argument she decided to still escape to the beautiful island of Crete.

Though expecting to feel sorry for herself the whole two weeks Olivia is there, though with her friends Kristen and Markus there for her she is bound to have a good time. That time gets even better once she meet a tall, handsome guy who she is drawn to yet, he is really a mystery that she wants to figure out.

Kai is different from her ex-boyfriend Justin, he always looks sad and is very hard to read yet Olivia has taken it upon herself to get him to laugh once again. After agreeing to help Kai cousin with that simple task should be just that simple, but Kai is harder to crack that she first thought. Will Olivia be able to complete this task or will she be unsuccessful, well she has two weeks to try.

Though there is something strange about Kai, people treat him different, he thinks he is different but Olivia knows there is more to the story than he is letting on. She just has to get the truth out of him, to find the real reason to why people treat him differently, though does he know the real reason. But, the real question is will she like the answers she finds.

This is a amazing story about a holiday romance with a difference, both of them have secrets and have been hurt in the past but can they find what they are both looking for in each other before it is time for Olivia to go home.

Favourite Quotes From Azure

“You’ll be fine by tomorrow,” she told him. “Take it easy and stay in bed.”
“Only if Kirsten comes to bed with me,” he said, still grinning. “Woof." “Down, big man.” Kirsten shook her head. “You’re insufferable. And don’t you dare quote that woman poet again.”
“What? You keep quoting stuff."

"No criminal.” Panos’ face was serious. “No do nothing bad. Old people... old habits. How you call it?” He snapped his fingers. “Superstit.”
“Superstitious?”
“That. They think he do something bad, but they are wrong.”

“A noodle,” Markus decided.
“Excuse me?” Olivia stifled laughter.
“You’re a blond noodle.”
“A noodle. A hairy noodle. How flattering. Is that a line from your favourite poet?”
“No, this is all me. You’re long and white and blond.”
“You sure know how to make a girl feel pretty.” She stuck her tongue out at him and inside she vowed to get a golden tan before leaving Crete. “What about Kirsten?”
He turned to his girlfriend, his gaze heating. “She’s a ravioli.” Imbecile,” Kirsten muttered, her lips twitching. “A ravioli? That’s all you can compare me to?”
“A ravioli stuffed with a piece of heaven,” Markus elaborated, taking the tone of an orator in a Roman forum, brows drawn and voice booming.
