About Love and Sleepless Nights -
Falling in love is easy...starting a family is far from it.
Just ask Jamie and Laura Newman, who (thanks to a rather relaxed attitude to contraception) find themselves about to have a baby. It's obviously a terrifying prospect for a newly married couple, but as long as they stick together they'll be fine, right?

Love and Sleepless Nights is one of the funniest books that has been transformed into paperback from a E-book. The story is set out in the form of Jaime's Blog and Laura's Diary, it switches between both of their points of view in each date that is talked about.
The story starts in Laura point of view where she has a eventful day in the city of London, Laura use to own a chocolate shop but as many businesses it was hit hard by the recession and has now decided to sell what is left of her dream business and work for a chocolate company instead. Though Laura day just keeps on getting worse and worse, starting with the job interview from hell and ending with her finding out she is pregnant.
The next chapter/entry is in Jaime's Blog, he is such a funny character with the way his thoughts are written in the book but also in the conversations he has with people. You could just imagine Jaime to be just like any typical male with the phases but he is also very dedicated to his wife, Laura. They are a perfect couple who just got married and a mishap happens (i.e Laura ending up pregnant) as they were still in honeymoon mode.
Laura's Diary is mainly talking abut things that have happened but each one is addressed to her mother, where as Jaime's Blog is just him talking and remembering things that have happened. Each person's point of view is different from the other, which I think is really great as in most stories you only get to hear one person's side. This is why I love books that can reflect each main characters point of view and can still be thrilling to read, just like Love and Sleepless Nights is, simply amazing storyline and easy to follow.
Jamie and Laura have not been married long but they are perfect for each other, there is a lot of crazy things that happen within the first couple of chapters. I enjoyed being able to read the book in both Laura and Jamie point of views, my favourite character is Laura as right from the start of the book, I was drawn in to her life as if it were a soap opera show and some of the lines that she says really made me laugh. My favourite quote/lines from the book would have to be ' My cheeks puff out, and I begin to resemble Alvin the bloody Chipmunk.', this line is so funny, as soon as I read it I instantly thought of Alvin from Alvin in the Chipmunk.
I would recommend this book to anyone who love a good laugh when reading a book or if they love a really great love story. If I had to sum up this book in three words they would be Humorous, Brilliant and Realistic. All of these add to this amazingly written story that you will not be able to put down at all.
