The only solace is her music class, but even there she can’t seem to keep it together, sabotaging her grade and her one chance at a meaningful relationship. It takes a hard truth from her only friend before Amy realises that she has to come to terms with her past, before she destroys her future.
Amy has never had a easy life just like any other teenager but with her dad a rock star and her mother having just dead, her life is more complicated than most teenagers. So when her dad decides to sent her to her aunt's house to find school, Amy is less than impressed knowing that it would just make her life even worse than it already is.
So when Amy's father tells her she is going to be sent to her aunt, Amy is angry and upset with her father thinking that he is leaving her just like her mother had. Though from the first day at her new school, Amy knew she was in for hell, but once she has meet a gorgeous guy by the name of Luke she thinks that maybe living there will not be bad.
Though she didn't take into account the people that would get in the way of her true happiness, a lot of important things happen within the just over 150 pages in this amazing book. The friendships that Amy's gains, the problems that she overcomes, how sometimes you have to forgive yourself before you can forgive others and how you can find your true home when you least expect it.
Finding Home is a story about the troubles that teenagers face these days and how sometimes all you want is to find a place where you belong. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves young adult books or just wants as short story that will take you back to your teenage years.
If I had to sum this book up in three words, they would be Brilliant, Uplifting and Addictive.
