Getting a boy to fall head-over-heels in love with you isn't easy. Especially when he’s been in love with your cousin for as long as you can remember.

Lana has lived her life in her cousin’s shadow. Ashton always made perfect grades, had tons of friends, and looks model-perfect. And she’s always had Sawyer Vincent—the only boy Lana’s ever wanted—wrapped around her finger. But now things are different. Lana has a chance to make Sawyer see her, and she’s taking it. If only he’d get over Ashton—because Lana is sick of second-best.

Sawyer’s heart is broken. He’s lost his best girl to his best friend. And then Lana comes to town. Ashton’s cousin has always been sweet and soft-spoken, but now she’s drop-dead gorgeous as well. Sawyer doesn't know if Lana can heal his broken heart, but spending time with her might at least make Ashton jealous.

What starts as a carefree fling becomes a lusty game of seduction. Sawyer and Lana may have different motives, but their scintillating hookups are the same kind of steamy. . . .
Sawyer Vincent is still heartbroken over Ashton and Beau new relationship, though how could he not be since she was his girlfriend and Beau is his brother. Seeing them together brings up all the hurt and the pain that has happened in the last six months, though he can see that they are happy and that they belong with each other.

Lana McDaniel is Ash's cousin, she was the geeky girl who would hang out with them when they were younger, though it was Sawyer who would protect her from the mischief that Beau and Ash would force upon her. Since, the last time Lana seen Sawyer six months ago, she has changed a lot, no longer is she the geeky girl who doesn't make a effort. She is now the girl who wear short skirts and make-up to impress the opposite gender, but not just any of them, no she is after one in particular... Sawyer.

So, when Lana comes to stay with Ash for the summer before college, she knows she will do anything to get the Vincent boy to like her. It doesn't take long for her to pull him under her spell just like she wanted, but when she find out that it is just to get back at Ash, she knows that he will never she her for who she really is. Sawyer hates that his brother who took the girl he had dreamed of a future with away from him, he knows that some of the choice he had made were not the best ones in terms of Ash, Beau and now Lana. Though, he is ready to show people the real him, before it is to late.

After, a misunderstanding Lana decides that what everyone else wants doesn't matter anymore, having been let down by her parents over the year, with her mother always complaining about her father and her father running away with a woman not that much older than her. She knows that she needs time to get her future straight, to decide what happens now she is in control of her future.

Although, she has planned everything out, she didn't count on the one thing that brought her to the Grove in the first place...Sawyer. He has finally realised that what he felt for Ash was love but not the kind he feels for Lana, the kind that Beau and Ash have for each other. He knows that he would do anything to makes sure she knows that she isn't just a distraction anymore, she is the real deal, hopefully he will  make her believe that she is it for him no matter what.

The Vincent Brother is a book that shows the different type of loves we have in out lives, the one that you thought you loved and the other is the one that make you realise you will never see anything but them and you wouldn't have it any other way. It also has friendship, relationships, family drama and the adventures that happen over the course of one summer that could changed your whole future in the blink of an eye.

If I had to sum this book up in three words, they would be Hot, Scorching and Sexy.
