After reading the first part of Liv and Shock's story, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next in their journey and I was not disappointed at all. It was clear from reading that Shock and Liv have feelings for each other that go well above just friends with benefits who help each other in exchange for cash.  This part is more focused on the physical relationship that they have and the passion and sexual tension that makes their first intimate encounter to be one that neither of them will ever forget (neither with the reader for that matter!)  You also learn a lot more about the Shock in this part of the series, what makes him tick and the secrets that he hasn't told Liv even though she hasn't been entirely honest with him either. But I believe that is drawn upon in the third and final part of the series.  The part which shocked me the most was the cliffhanger at the end that had me mentally screaming as I wanted to find out what happened next as it gets your blood pumping looking for the next big reveal in the book that will surprise, shock (pun intended) and make you see that their relationship is far from normal but then again what is normal.  Hard Ride #2 is to put it honest very, very hot in the terms of sex and the way that it makes the story come alive with this new avenue being explored and developed as the story goes on. I can't wait to read the final part of the book as I can tell that it will be an ending I don't want to miss.
