My first thought when reading the first couple of pages of My Life in Black and White was wow, it starts with a 'Fade In' just like in a film, Clara Bishop has never had the best of luck when it comes to things in her life, so when her husband decides to leave her, she decides that she will not go without a chance to change things.

Following in his footsteps and flying to London after him to try and win him back once and for all. Clara takes her grandmother's vintage belonging along for the journey, upon doing so her life after opening the case is changed forever. The secrets that are hidden in Clara's grandmother belongings are nothing that she was expecting, more things are being clearer in light of this new information that has been found.

After wearing her grandmother's clothes, Clara finally understand the effect that clothes have on her confidence. She feels more like a woman than before, sexier and ready to jump head first in to her problems, stumbling upon a film script which is unfinished in her grandmothers belonging. From reading the film script, she being to realise that it may have a link to the mysterious death of her grandmother, being transported back to the fifties film era.

When she learns of the events around her grandmother's death, she has the chance to find out the truth and also change the way she looks at life all together. Clara finds that you yourself have the chance to live the life you want and also you can change your ending just like a film script. Until it is the way you want it, not how other people want it.

This story is the most unbelievable amazing novel romance comedy novel, to date.

If I had to sum up the book in three words it would be Interesting, Amazing and Witty.

If your a fan of Katie Fforde or even a classic like Jane Austen, then read this enchanting book.
