When the book first arrived, I could not believe it as the day before I was looking at it on Amazon and was going to buy it when it came out. Having already read the blurb I was immediately drawn into the story and the characters that the book is revolved around. I was so excited to read this new book by C.L.Parker.

 

The book revolves around Delaine (Lanie) Talbot, a normal girl from Chicago who would do anything for the people she loves. So when she makes the ultimate choice to help someone she loves, she is willing to do anything even sell herself to the highest bidder. So when Lanie best friend Dez who works in a club tells her about what happens in the secret parts of the business, Lanie takes the chance to be sold to someone.

 

Enter, Noah Crawford a wealth multi-millionaire who bought Lanie for two million dollars, but there is a catch she must stay with Noah for two years as part of the contract that they agreed upon. Being thrown into other world, completely different from her own, she become a pet for Noah to do what he likes with and a she doesn't even have a say about it. Though things take a wrong turn when they both develop feelings for each other, the only problem is it wasn't part of their deal they made. It is set in both of their points of view, so you get to know each character and know what they are thinking and feeling as the story progresses.

 

But can they be happy with each other? Will Lanie finally tell him the reason for needing two million dollars? Will Noah understand why she did it? Will love be able to be what they both need? Or will it break them apart? The cliff-hanger at the end, will make you long for the next and last installment of the Million Dollar Duet Series.

 

This explosive story about two people who are completely different from each other, ending up in something nothing could have prepared them for. With sex, lust, love and secrets which one will be the final blow that makes or breaks them.
