She Can't Forget Him…
Jane Charlotte Danes has loved the squire of her idyllic country town for as long as she can remember. He is good, kind, and alluring beyond words… and he chose to marry another. Tired of dwelling on her futile longings, Jane plans a move to Bath, where she dreams of a new beginning. But the man who has so imprisoned her heart is only a few steps behind…

He Can't Let Her Go…

Until now, Matthew Cleaves has endeavored to meet the responsibilities of his position with dignity and good spirits--including his dutiful marriage. But when his wife leaves him for another man, Matthew is at last free to pursue his one true love. Only one vital question remains: will the captivating, stubborn, beautiful Jane allow him the challenge, and the pleasure, of winning her back?
Jane Danes has always been the one to look after her mother, when her mother was ill Jane was there to care and look after her as well as their house in Bidderstone. Now that she has passed away and Jane's sister Monica has come home for good, Jane has decided that she wants to branch out on her own and make something of herself. Even though she tells people that it is her own choice and something she has been planning for a while, that may not be completely true. A big part of the reason for this change has more to do with the handsome village squire who has failed to notice her and now Jane feels it is time to move on.
Matthew Cleaves has always put the people of Bidderstone first before himself and his life, then again that is what his father expected of him as the squire. When Matthew married Elizabeth, he never expected that his wife would have an affair with another and leave him, making him withdrawn and unable to focus on his work. When Jane announces that she is to move to Bath with her maid, everyone is shocked even more so Matthew who doesn't even know how to react to the news of possibly losing Jane from his life forever.
After Jane arrives in Bath, it doesn't take her long to feel at home and have a passion to help children who are without in the worst parts of the city. When she needs Matthew's help with getting the job she is hesitant to ask as she knows that he would become a part of her new life, something which she didn't really want. Something shifts in both Jane and Matthew's relationship causing their feelings to come out in a dangerous way that would go against the vows that Matthew made and Jane's pride in her new life. This makes them realise what they knew all along and how it will change their lives as they know it.
My favourite character would have to be Jane, she is so strong and it made her seem so sure of herself even though she still has moments when she is unsure. With her independent streak and loveable nature, she is someone who people could look up to and you are rooting for her to get what she wants in her life as she deserves it.
Her One True Love is a heartbreaking story about love, friendship and finding your place in life. With the passion, love and moving story, it tells you about how sometimes your one true love is in front of you all along.
Inspiring, Captivating and Sweet.
