After a very public career disaster, journalist Jeff Talbert-Lyndon wants to escape from the world. Picturesque Shenadoah Falls, Virginia, seems like the perfect place to relax and regroup before heading back to real life. But when he discovers the charming bookstore Secondhand Prose - and its lovely, slightly overwhelmed owner- he finds a part-time job and a very tempting reason to stay...

Melissa Portman is fighting a losing battle when it comes to saving her grandmother's store - and selling the historic building may be her only option. Yet when a handsome stranger wanders in one day, she wonders if her very own fairytale is just beginning...
Melissa Portman has had a couple of rough months, between her grandmother passing away and taking on the responsibility of her bookstore it has been a big change in her life. Jeff Talbert has had his name all over news, so he decides to hide out in a small town away from everyone to think about what he is going to do next.
When Jeff walks into Melissa's store in an attempted to hide from someone he doesn't want to see, he doesn't realise just how much this small quirky bookstore would change his life. Jeff decides that he wants to help Melissa by stacking shelves and doing odd jobs around the shop, even though Melissa said she could handle it fine by herself.
Although when Melissa finally find out who Jeff is and the family he is a part of, she is thrown through a loop, partly because she likes him and partly because she trusted him when she knew she shouldn't have. Though nothing is ever what it seems and Jeff is willing to lose everything to show Melissa that you can have a happy ending just like a romance book.
I loved this book for two reasons, one being the bookstore, I mean who doesn't like reading about books whilst reading a book!? The second and I feel most important to me is the two beautiful cats that are featured in the book. I love cats and to read books that feature any animal but even more so cats is one of my favourite things.
I loved reading about Melissa, her character is someone I could relate to in several ways. I loved her quirky tops that feature a range of different themes and also her love of books and wanting to make something of the store even though it is not doing so well.
A Fairytale Bride is a book that all book lovers will love and dream that they owned a wonderful bookstore like Melissa and that a handsome stranger would walk in and sweep them of their feet. We can dream can't we?!
Charming, Cute and Bookish.

Another day, another book,
