Review of Dear Thing By Julie Cohen

Dear Thing is about a couple; Claire and Ben, who have been trying to have a baby for many years but it doesn't seem to be working for them.

Having known each other since university, getting married straight after, they have always been together. They have everything they need except for one thing... a baby.

The story also involves Romily, who is Ben's best friend and also Posie's mother. Poise is a Romily seven year old child, who lives with her in a small flat in the town of Brickham where as Ben and Claire live in the outskirts of Sonning near the Thames.

Knowing the problems that Claire and Ben are having, Romily offers to help them by having the baby for them.

Claire has never understood the friendship that Ben and Romily have but Claire loves dotting over Posie as if she were her own child. When Romily offers to help them have a child it seems like all their problems are finally going away.

Though everything seems to get every more complicated, once Romily is pregnant, things which should have stayed buried but somehow will change everyone future with out even knowing it.

Romily had Posie quite young and when she becomes pregnant with Claire and Ben's baby, feelings that she never knew she would have become to rise to the surface.
This creates a difficult situation with only one baby and two mothers wanting it.

If I were to sum up this book in three words they would be relateable, hopeful and life changing.

After reading this book, I think that may people will be able to relate to some part of this story. That is what makes it more relatable as people go through things like that everyday.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books by Harriet Evans or if they needed a really good love story with a lots of twists and turns.

Dear Thing is out on the 11th April 2013.

Thank you very much to Julie Cohen and Transworld Publishers for giving me a advanced copy.

Another day, another book,
