So lets start with one of my favourite authors and review of one of her many Christmas books.

My Review
Having had Starry Night for a while I decided that now was the perfect time to read the book, even more so as it was leading up to Christmas and starts to get you into the festive mood. I have read many of Debbie Macomber's books before and I always look forward to the Christmas releases each year or re-read a classic one from before.
Starry Night starts with Carrie who is longing for a chance to prove herself to everyone that she is more than just a columnist who reports on famous society pieces. Carrie longs for a real story with heart and soul. So when she approaches her boss and takes on the challenge which is Finn Dalton, she doesn't realise how much of a task it would be to not only find him but to convince him to do a interview. Even more so as he has refused any interview up until this point. Though like the dedicated columnist she is, she decides to start where she is sure she would find him and after doing some detective work she is on a plane flying towards Alaska.
Arriving in the small town she isn't prepared for meeting Finn or for the journey that getting an interview will take her. Carrie knew she had one job when she arrived in Alaska yet when her heart overtakes her job and mind she is left unsure of what the right thing to do is. Especially as her deadline is getting closer and Christmas is looming around the corner.
From start to finish the book filled me with joy, whether it is the characters, the Christmas theme or the story which is Starry Night I felt it was a perfectly written book which shows the meaning of Christmas and the joy which is experienced when you follow your heart. Having finished the book in a day, I didn't want it to end! I would recommended it to anyone who loves Christmas stories which makes you eager to read more.
If I had to sum this book up in three words, they would be Joyful, Heartwarming and Perfect.
